From parchment to wireless

We can certainly learn a great deal from our students in the area of technology. As they introduce us to new ways to communicate, we need to find ways to bring it into the classroom. I have always believed that if students can memorize all of the words to their favorite songs on the radio, they should certainly be able to memorize the multiplication tables. Many think it's wrong to make a game out of everything-why? It's true that most of us didn't learn this way. That doesn't make it "wrong."

Today I begin my journey in search of ways to move myself and assist my peers to move forward into the 21st Century.
